Details

The Philosophy and Borders working group aims to bring together researchers in the fields of ethics, political theory, and social science on the topic of borders and migration. This includes researchers working on topics related to nation-states, nationalism, citizenship, territory, immigration, and forced migration. This first meeting will serve as an introduction to the project.

We would like to invite presentations for our inaugural meeting. We particularly encourage applications from early career researchers and graduate students. Presentations will be 25 minutes long, with 20 minutes for questions and feedback.

If you would like to speak, please send an abstract of no longer than 500 words to [email protected]. If you would like to attend the workshop as an observer, please email to register your interest. The event will include a keynote speaker in the evening as part of the Refugee Studies Centre series.

CFP Deadline: September 30th 2019

Speakers Notified: October 14th 2019

We have a small amount of funding to assist with travel and accommodation, generously offered by the Balliol Interdisciplinary Institute. However, as this funding is limited, please also apply for assistance from your University or a funding body if possible.
