The 52ndannual Conference of the Society for Asian and ComparativePhilosophy(http://www.sacpweb.org/)will be heldat the University of San Francisco, USA.

We inviteindividual and panel proposalsrelated to the conferencetheme, One and Many. The SACP boardespeciallywelcomesdiverseapproaches to the conferencetopic from differentphilosophicaltraditions. Thosewhowish to participateareencouraged to submitproposalsthatcorrespond to theirspecialareas of interestsolong as theyengage in someway with Asian and/orComparativephilosophies.

Submission of the proposals:Proposalsshould be sentelectronically to the Secretary of the Society, ChiaraRobbiano, at[email protected]. Proposalshouldhave a filenamethatbegins with the presenter’slastname and closes with the name of ourorganization and the year of the conference, e.g., ‘Berger–SACP 2020’.

Individualproposalshouldinclude: (1) title and a 300-word abstract; (2) presenter’sname, (3) institutionalaffiliation, and (4) email address.

Panel proposalshouldinclude: (1) title and a 300-word description of the panel; (2) title and a 300-word abstract of eachpaper; (3) name, institutionalaffiliation, and email address of all the participants.

The deadline for submissionis January 31, 2020. Notice of the acceptance of proposalswill be emailedat the beginning of March 2020, with instructions for how to register and submit the US$160 conferenceregistrationfee. Graduate Student EssayContestAwards: To encourage student participation, the SACP continues the tradition of Graduate Student EssayContestAwards for thisconference. Student EssayContestPrizesare: US$1,000 for First prize, US$750 for Second prize, and US$500 for Third prize. The awardsaregiven in order to assist with the travel and accommodationexpenses for thosewinnerswhoattend and presenttheirworkat the 2020 SACP conferenceonly. Graduatestudentswhowishtheirpapers to be considered for theseprizesmustsubmit a completeessay of no morethan 4,000 words and a 300 wordabstract to ChiaraRobbiano, at[email protected].
