Details

We are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2020 Oxford Graduate Conference in Political Theory, to be held on the 27th and 28th April 2020 at Nuffield College, University of Oxford. The two-day conference will provide a constructive forum for graduate students to present high-quality work in political theory, exchange ideas with peers, and receive feedback from leading academics. The keynote lecture will be delivered by Dr. Laura Valentini, Associate Professor of Political Science in the Government Department, London School of Economics.

We welcome submissions from graduate students in any area of political theory, including, but not limited to, critical theory, history of political thought, analytical political philosophy, continental social and political thought.

Interested applicants should send anonymised abstracts of 500-1,000 words — along with a separate cover sheet detailing the applicant’s name, paper title, and institutional affiliation — to [email protected] by 1 February 2020.

Abstracts should include keywords to indicate the primary research areas of the paper. Conference registration is free of charge and a limited number of bursaries are available for presenters who are unable to secure funding from their home institutions.

The registration deadline for those who wish to attend the conference without presenting a paper is 1 April 2020.

Please address any inquiries regarding the conference to the organisers at [email protected].
