Details

The Indiana Philosophical Association will hold its annual Spring Meeting as part of the Indiana Academies Symposium (https://200.iu.edu/signature-projects/bicentennial-symposia/indiana-academies-symposium.html). For this meeting, we invite submissions in any area of philosophy. Submitted papers should be (i.) no more than 3000 words, (ii.) prepared for blind review, and (iii.) accompanied by a separate page that includes title, author information (name, affiliation, and contact information), and an abstract not exceeding 150 words. Materials should be submitted to Rob Luzecky at luzeckyr@pfw.edu. Suggestions for commentators and sessions chairs (including self-nominations) are also welcome. All accepted papers and commentators will be expected to attend the conference to present their paper or commentary.

The plight of marginalized groups and individuals has gained increased relevance in philosophy. We especially encourage submissions from individuals who identify as members of groups currently underrepresented in philosophy and academia more generally.

Paper Prizes

The IPA will present an undergraduate paper prize and a graduate paper prize at this meeting. Each award will be accompanied by a cash prize of $100. Papers submitted for competition should be identified as either graduate or undergraduate papers student on the title sheet.

Papers should be no more than 3000 words and prepared for blind review.

Submissions should be sent to Rob Luzecky (luzeckyr@pfw.edu).

Deadline for submissions is 31 January 2020.

Decisions will be sent out no later than 15 March 2020.
