We cordially invite submissions for

Non-causal explanation in physics (Ernst Mach Workshop IX)

Sept. 17-18, 2020, Prague, Czech Republic

The 9th Ernst Mach workshop (emw.flu.cas.cz) will address the nature and status of non-causal explanations, that is, the extent to which purportedly non-causal explanations are indeed non-causal, all that in various fields of physics. These include previously discussed explanations based on renormalization groups, symmetry principles, conservation laws etc. We also encourage contributions introducing novel case studies. Our invited speakers this year are Sorin Bangu (Bergen), Lina Jansson (Nottingham), Juha Saatsi (Leeds) and Lukáš Zámečník (Olomouc).

There is no registration fee. The event is co-sponsored by the Strategy AV 21 program of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic, project 19-04236S.
