International Society for the Study of Occasionalism organizes its first conference. This conference aims to bring faculty, graduate students and researchers together and establish an academic platform for information exchange and networking. Comparative analyses between different traditions on occasionalism are encouraged but not required. Topics considered for the conference include but are not limited to: 

Occasionalism in Early Islamic Philosophy and Theology

Occasionalism in Ottoman Thought

Occasionalism in Early Modern Philosophy

Occasionalism and Asian Philosophies

Occasionalism’s response to metaphysical & epistemological problems

Occasionalism and Science

Occasionalism, Conservationism and Concurrentism

Occasionalism and Ethics
