CALL FOR PAPERS

Dear all,

We invite researchers working on the foundations quantum theories and related topics to submit abstracts for conference talks. Contributed talks should last 30 minutes along with 15 minutes of commentary and discussion. Proposals must include title, short abstract (up to 150 words), author’s name, e-mail, professional category (professor (assistant, associate or full), researcher, or graduate student), and full institutional address. We also ask for a separate extended abstract (up to 1000 words), prepared for double-blind peer-review. Both abstracts must be written in English. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 pm, Brasília Time, on June 5th, 2020. We particularly encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by June 27th, 2020. Members of the Scientific Committee are listed on the conference’s websitehere. Some funding might be available to support the costs of accommodation for speakers (more information will be given as soon as possible). Please, do not hesitate to contact us in case you have any question.

CALL FOR POSTERS

Dear all,

The organizing committee of the 1st Brazilian Conference on the Foundations of Quantum Theories invites researchers in philosophy, physics and mathematics that work on foundations of quantum theories and related topics to submit abstracts for posters to be presented at the conference on a poster section in the morning of August 11th. Undergraduates are particularly encouraged to submit poster abstracts. The deadline for consideration of poster abstracts is June 5th, 2020, 11:59 pm, Brasilia Time. The maximum length for poster abstracts is 500 words, including references. The abstract must be suitable for anonymous review, with no information identifying its author. A separate page must be submitted with the poster’s title, author’s name, e-mail, and institutional address. The organizing committee strives for quality and variety in poster abstracts, and we are especially interested in posters about topics not represented in the main program. We particularly encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups.

The accepted posters will be announced by June 27th, 2020. Some funding might be available to support the costs of accommodation for poster presenters. If you are an undergraduate student presenting a poster at the conference, we might be able to support the costs for transportation to the conference’s site as well (more information will be given as soon as possible). Please, do not hesitate to contact us in case you have any question.
