COVID-19 UPDATE: We are sorry to announce that the TSHD Digital Humanities Symposium, originally scheduled to take place on June 24 and 25, 2020 at Tilburg University, has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are aiming to hold the conference at the same venue in June 2021 and plan to the keep the format of the meeting as presently planned. The deadline for submissions is extended until March 1, 2021. Abstracts that have already been submitted will also be valid for the 2021 event but authors are of course free to withdraw or adapt their submissions in due course. The exact dates for the TSHD Digital Humanities Symposium will published on this website as soon as possible.

On June 24 and 25, 2020, the Tilburg School of Humanities and Digital Sciences (TSHD) at Tilburg University, the Netherlands, organizes a two-day Digital Humanities Symposium.  This workshop brings together scholars from a range of disciplines, including Philosophy, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cultural, Literary and Media Studies, Communication and Information Sciences, and Cognitive Science. How do we bring the Humanities together with digital tools, methods, and epistemologies? Together, we will reflect on practical and theoretical issues regarding the ways that digitalization and datafication are transforming our fields.
