Details

This workshop is devoted to discussing individual moral obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. While many would accept that individauls have a moral obligation to reduce their carbon footprint, this raises questions about the stringency of such a duty, how demanding it could be while retaining its moral force, how we might quantify individual emissions, and what ways we might permissibly persuade people to reduce emissions or informally sanction them if they do not. This workshop is devoted to furthering new research that addresses these and related questions.

Please see the associated call for abstracts for this workshop for more information.
