Dear all,
It is our pleasure to announce a three-day Online Conference in Experimental Philosophy which will take place from 19th - 21st June, 2020.
Given the COVID-19 situation, the organizers have decided to move the originally planned European Experimental Philosophy Conference in Prague online. Thus, instead of cancelling the event, we will host an Online XPhi Conference at the same dates, i.e. 19th-21st June 2020. Please also note that the 1st European Experimental Philosophy Conference will take place next year in Prague! For more information about the event in Prague in 2021, please go to https://xphiprague.eu/.
Keynote speakers:
Wesley Buckwalter (University of Manchester)
Genoveva Marti (University of Barcelona)
Jesse Prinz (City University of New York)
In addition, there will be over 50 presentations given by people from all over the world covering topics such as Moral Psychology, Language and Linguistic Norms, Morality of Technologies and AI, Legal Responsibility and Jurisprudence, and many more. The programme can be found here: https://sites.google.com/view/online-xphi-europe/programme. Please note that all times are announced in CEST (Central European summer time – Paris, Berlin, Prague, CEST = UTC +2).
Everybody is welcome to attend the whole conference or selected talks. If you’d like to take part, please send a quick email with the reference “Add me: XPhi Online” to Dominik Müller([email protected]). We will add you to the email list and send around information on how to join the zoom sessions. For additional information and updates on the programme, please visit our website https://sites.google.com/view/online-xphi-europe/home.
This conference is jointly organized by the Strategic Partnership between the Charles University Prague and the University of Zurich, as well as the local XPhi Groups in Europe (XPhi Group UK, XPhi Group Germany, Spanish XPhi Association).
