Details

Law/Gender/Body/Texts is an online discussion that draws together international scholars from different disciplines to explore the issue of gender and its transformations.  This series of talks aims at envisioning alternative ways of conceiving gender by taking into account practices and material conditions that challenge the binary understanding of gender. Legal systems, bodies and texts will be considered as spaces within which gender emerges as a problematic, fuzzy, dynamic substance. The online discussion is open to all scholars, students and people who are interested in the topic. It will run from the second week of November to the second week of December, every Friday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. GMT.
