This is the 1st Annual Conference of the Midlands Music Research Network. The network, supported by M4C, is a project started in pandemic times with the aim to connect researchers working on music, especially from interdisciplinary perspectives. For this launching event, the organising committee received proposals from all over the world and on an unexpected variety of topics and approaches.
