This summer school is open to PhD students from any discipline (philosophy, law, management,...) and will look into various dimensions of CSR from a normative perspective. It will cross approaches from philosophy and management. The following six professors will be contributing this year:

  • Ion Copoeru (Babes-Bolyai University, Romania) - Romanian entrepreneurs and CSR - case studies
  • Cristian Ducu (Centre for Advanced Research in Management and Applied Ethics, Bucharest, Romania) - Social responsibility and organizational behaviour
  • Anca Gheaus (Sheffield University, UK) - Gender and the Firm
  • Geert Demuijnck (EDHEC Business School, France) - Topics in CSR and human rights
  • Mikael Petitjean (UCLouvain - Mons, Belgium) - Issues in Finance Ethics
  • Axel Gosseries (Hoover Chair, UCLouvain, Belgium) - Firms and the problem of short-termism

The number of students is limited to 20. Besides the advanced seminars on the above mentioned topics, there will be individual tutorials - through peripatetic walks in the beautiful Rimetea countryside - enabling each student to discuss his/her research topic in depth.

Fee, including accomodation and food: 450 Euros per person

Applications by advanced MA students intending to to a PhD will also be considered

By February 10, applicants should send a short mail to Axel Gosseries and Cristian Ducu ([email protected]) indicating their interest in applying (please use as a subject "Rimetea 2013").

By February 25, we should receive a single PDF file including a two page CV with publication list (if any) and a two page presentation of their PhD project. A clear research question should be stated.
