Nkiru Nzegwu is SUNY Distinguished Professor in the Department of Africana Studies and in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies at State University of New York at Binghamton. She is also Professor Extraordinarius in the School of Transdisciplinary Research and Graduate Studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA). She is the founder of Africa Knowledge Project (https://www.africaknowledgeproject.org/) and Africa Resource Center, Inc. (africaresource.com). She is author of Family Matters: Feminist Concepts in African Philosophy of Culture (2006), co-editor of The New African Diaspora (2009); and editor of Onitsha at the Millennium: Legacy, History and Transformation and His Majesty Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe: A Ten-Year Milestone (2013). She has published extensively on African aesthetics, art, feminism, and philosophy.
