Call for Papers

The Long Island Philosophical Society is seeking submissions for its 2013 conference to be held at SUNY Suffolk County Community College.

Papers can be on any topic of philosophical interest and should be prepared for a presentation of no more than 25-30 minutes. Both professional philosophers and graduate students are welcome.

The submission deadline is:  03/15/2013

Please submit papers accompanied by an abstract of no more than 300 words to: [email protected].

The Long Island Philosophical Society is a regional Philosophical Society that is a dynamic forum for the exchange of ideas since 1964. LIPS is an internationally recognized Philosophical Society that is a valuable philosophical resource for the Greater New York area and hosts a membership of participants from 20 states as well as participating members from Brazil, Canada and Ukraine.

Interested authors may submit approved papers for consideration for inclusion in LIPS’ newly improved peer-reviewed, scholarly online journal CALIPSO (Conference Addresses of the Long Island Philosophical Society Online)ISSN:1940-1914.
