The Indiana Philosophical Association will hold its annual Fall Meeting at Indiana University, Bloomington. For this meeting, we invite submissions in any area of philosophy. We especially invite papers for three special themed sessions: (1) in honor of David McCarty and highlighting work in logic; (2) environmental philosophy; and (3) Medieval philosophy.
Submitted papers should be (i) no more than 3000 words, (ii) prepared for blind review, and (iii) accompanied by a separate page that includes title, author information (name, affiliation, and contact information), and an abstract not exceeding 150 words. Materials should be submitted to Secretary/Treasurer of the IPA Samuel Kahn at [email protected].
Suggestions for commentators and session chairs (including self-nominations) are also welcome. All accepted papers and commentators will be expected to attend the conference to present their paper or commentary.
The plight of marginalized groups and individuals has gained increased relevance in philosophy. We especially encourage submissions from individuals who identify as members of groups currently underrepresented in philosophy and academia more generally.
Deadline for submissions is 15 September 2021.
Decisions will be sent out no later than 10 October 2021.
Papers should be no more than 3000 words and preparedfor blind review
Submissions should be sent to Samuel Kahn ([email protected])
Paper Prizes
The IPA will present three paper prizes: (1) an undergraduate paper prize; (2) a graduate paper prize; and (3) a general paper prize in logic (in honor of David McCarty). Each award will be accompanied by a cash prize of $100. Papers submitted for (1) or (2) should be identified as either graduate or undergraduate student papers on the title sheet.
