Details

Meta-philosophical reflections and claims influence all major discussions in philosophy. Questions about the nature, purpose, and methods of philosophy are of fundamental significance to the separations between different philosophical traditions and developments that take philosophical theorizing in new directions. As reflected by a large number of publications from recent years, this ensures the continued actuality of meta-philosophical debates.

Ph.D. students are provided the opportunity to present and discuss work in progress. We invite submissions of abstracts (max 1000 words) for 40 minute presentation, including discussion. Strict preference will be given to presentations concerning meta-philosophy.  However, should space permit, we shall also welcome papers in other main research areas of Professor Brown and Professor Leiter, such as epistemology, metaphysics, legal philosophy, and Nietzsche studies. Students wanting to present outside of meta-philosophy should expect to be put on a waiting list.

Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Deadline for registration: February 25th  at the link:
