The School of Law and the Department of Philosophy at UCLA are holding a graduate student conference on law and philosophy on April 13, 2013. The aim of this conference is to bring together graduate students, law students, and UCLA faculty members to discuss issues that arise at the intersection of law and philosophy. Lunch will be served.
Prospective conference participants should also note that Professor Jeremy Waldron (NYU and Oxford) will deliver the third Herbert Morris Lecture in Law and Philosophy, entitled “What Do Philosophers Have Against Dignity?” on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the UCLA School of Law. The lecture is from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in Room 1357. It will be followed by a reception from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Participants who wish to hear Professor Waldron’s lecture should plan their travel accordingly.
The organizing committee may be reached at [email protected], and we will happily answer any questions about the conference. Thanks to the School of Law and Department of Philosophy at UCLA for their generous support of this conference.
