ELEATICA 2021 - XII edizione

Cari colleghi e amici,

Come già annunciato precedentemente, la XII edizione di ELEATICA promossa dalla Fondazione Alario per Elea-Velia Impresa sociale (Ascea, Salerno) e patrocinata dalla SFI, nonché da numerosi enti e associazioni statali e privati, si terrà dal 26 al 29 settembre 2021 presso l'Auditorium della Fondazione Alario stessa. Per questa edizione il Prof. Glenn Most (Max Plank Institute for the History of Science-University of Chicago) offrirà tre lezioni sul tema "Senofane Elegiaco"; vi saranno poi sessioni parallele dedicate all'Eleatismo e la sua ricezione e avrà luogo il conferimento della Cittadinanza Onoraria dell'Antica Città di Elea al Prof. Richard McKirahan da parte del Comune di Ascea. Il convegno prevede anche la sezione Eleatica per le scuole dedicata a docenti e studenti delle scuole secondarie di secondo grado. La sezione è realizzata in collaborazione con la SFI ed è diretta dalla Prof.ssa Francesca Gambetti.

In allegato troverete il link per procedere all'iscrizione online al convegno che è valida sia per chi parteciperà in presenza, sia per chi intenda seguire tutte le sessioni da remoto (selezionando la quota ‘basica’ di iscrizione). Le iscrizioni sono aperte fino al 21 settembre incluso.

Dear colleagues and friends,

As previously announced, the XII edition of ELEATICA promoted by the Fondazione Alario per Elea-Velia Impresa sociale (Ascea, Salerno) and supported by the Società Filosofica Italiana (SFI) as well as by numerous public and private institutions and associations, will be held from 26 to 29 September 2021 at the Auditorium of the Foundation itself. For this edition, Prof. Glenn Most (Max Plank Institute for the History of Science-University of Chicago) will offer three lectures on the theme "Xenophanes the Elegist"; there will then be parallel sessions dedicated to Eleatism and its reception, and the conferral of the Honorary Citizenship of the Ancient City of Elea to prof. Richard McKirahan from the Municipality of Ascea. The conference also provides the section Eleatica per le scuole, devoted to the teachers and students of the secondary schools. This section is supported by the SFI and it is directed by Prof. Francesca Gambetti.

Attached you can find the link to register online for the conference, from which you can easily access the provisional program and the initiatives that have been planned. Due to organisational reasons, the registration will be available up to five days before the starting date of the conference (21st September). Who intends to follow the conference online, can select the “basic” registration.
