CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: Priestfest: A conference in honour of Graham Priest

For over 35 years, Graham Priest's philosophical work has challenged and delighted a variety of audiences. On 12--14 June 2013, at the University of Melbourne, there will be a conference held in honour of this wide-ranging and influential philosopher. We invite submission of abstracts relating to any aspect of Priest's work: metaphysics, Buddhist philosophy, logic, philosophy of language, sexual ethics, philosophy of martial arts, history of philosophy, metaphilosophy, some combination of these, etc.

Invited speakers:

Amber Carpenter (University of York)

Yasuo Deguchi (Kyoto University)

Jay Garfield (Smith College)

Abstracts should be prepared for blind review and submitted to [email protected] in plain text, .rtf, or (preferably) .pdf format on or before 25 March. Please include "Priestfest" in the subject line of your submission email. Authors will be notified about acceptance in early April.

This conference will be immediately followed by the annual meeting of the Australasian Association for Logic (15--16 June, same venue); abstracts that fit both events will be considered for both, unless otherwise specified.

We aim to create a conference with a diverse group of topics and presenters. As such, we strongly encourage submissions from members of groups that are underrepresented in academic philosophy, as well as authors working on underexplored issues.
