CFP: Legal Philosophy Workshop 2022

We are happy to announce that the 9th annual Legal Philosophy Workshop (LPW) will be held on June 23-24th at the University of Southern California. (If conditions make an in-person event impossible, the workshop will be moved online and held over a series of days in June and July, as was done the previous two years. The venue of the workshop will be confirmed when the program is announced.)

LPW is an annual pre-read workshop designed to foster reflection on the nature of law and the philosophical issues underlying its different areas. Our aim is to promote work that connects legal philosophy with other branches of philosophy (e.g., moral and political philosophy, metaphysics, philosophy of language, epistemology, or philosophy of action) and to create a venue for the critical examination of different viewpoints about law. We would like to invite you to submit an abstract or to volunteer to comment. Please ensure that the abstract is anonymised and that it does not exceed 1,000 words. This is also a call for commenters. The deadline for volunteering to comment and submitting your abstract is January 10, 2022.
