Details

"Indian Philosophy and Philosophy of Science" is the title of one of Sundar Sarukkai's books, published in 2005, where he shows in detail how themes in Indian philosophy - primarily logic and philosophy of language - are useful in reframing questions in contemporary philosophy of science. The fact that mainstream philosophy of science continues to ignore such possibilities shows how decolonisation functions, not just in philosophy and science but also in philosophy of science. In this talk, he will discuss some of these specific examples of drawing upon non-western philosophical traditions which might matter to a more robust philosophy of science.
