The LSE Department of Government is pleased to announce that its Eighth Annual Political Theory Graduate Conference will be held on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May 2022.
We are delighted to announce that the conference will feature keynotes from Avia Pasternak (University College London) and Duncan Bell (University of Cambridge).
The aim of the conference is to give graduate students working in the field of political theory (broadly conceived to include legal theory and the history of political thought) an opportunity to present and receive feedback on their projects from peers and LSE faculty and build a wider community of graduate political theorists across the UK, Europe and beyond.
We are planning to hold the conference in person, with all the relevant COVID-19 safety measures in place. In the event circumstances change, we will move the conference online.
If you wish to present a paper, please send an anonymized abstract of no more than 500 words, free of any identifying information, and in Word format, to [email protected] by 23rd March 2022. Papers on any theme or topic within political theory and political philosophy will be considered. Please also include, in the body of the e-mail, your name and institutional affiliation. All abstracts will undergo a double-blind review process. We particularly encourage applications from women and other under-represented groups.
We aim to notify all applicants about the outcome of their submission by mid-April.
For any further questions, please contact: Vincent Harting ([email protected]) or Andreas Sorger ([email protected]).
