CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

We invite submissions of abstracts (700-1000 words) on any topic on the theme of the conference.

The deadline for submissions is APRIL 30, 2022.

This will be an in-person event. We cannot accommodate virtual presentations. Please keep this in mind when decided whether to submit an abstract.

We expect to provide 3 nights accommodation and dinner for speakers selected through our open call. Speakers are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

Potential topics include but are not limited to

  • The role of truth in politics

  • Democracy and collective intelligence

  • Deliberative democracy and its challenges, both conceptual and empirical

  • The problem of deep disagreement

  • Epistemic paternalism

  • The epistemology and politics of trust

  • Epistemic injustice

  • The epistemology of ignorance

  • The epistemology of propaganda

  • Cognitive biases and politics

  • Formal models of democratic processes

  • Epistemic Democracy and its flaws

We also invite submissions that address new or underexplored topics or bring together insights from different sub-topics, including interdisciplinary works.
