15th Annual Northern Graduate Philosophy Conference: Call for Papers

October 28-29, 2022

Northern Illinois University

Keynote Speaker: Sandy Goldberg (Northwestern University)

Submission Deadline: July 31st, 2022

We invite submissions by graduate students of approximately 3,000 words in length on any topic in any mainstream philosophical tradition, with preference given to submissions that are accessible to a general philosophical audience. Only one submission per person will be considered. Philosophers from underrepresented or historically disadvantaged groups are particularly invited to apply. Please note that we will require all papers to be delivered in person and that, unfortunately, we cannot offer funding for travel to accepted speakers.

Submission Guidelines

Please send the following as separate attachments, in .pdf or Word (.doc, .docx) format, to [email protected]:

  • A cover page, containing:

    • Author’s name

    • Institutional affiliation

    • Email address

    • Title of paper

    • Topic or subfield

    • Word count

  • The paper itself, anonymized for blind review. Please include a title page with an abstract of no more than 150 words.

Responses to submissions will be sent by September 15, 2022.

Note: We are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 situation. With the current CDC guidelines, we are planning to have the event in-person. We will provide regular updates to those who have submitted papers regarding this situation.
