Details
The "Russell 150" conference is organized in partnership between the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Bucharest (through its Department for Theoretical Philosophy and the Center for Logic, Philosophy and History of Science) and the Romanian Academy's "Constantin Rădulescu-Motru" Institute of Philosophy and Psychology.
The event is scheduled to take place November 4-5, 2022. It will have a mixed format, in that speakers may choose whether they present online only, or face to face at the event's location (if so, their session will enjoy a live audience, but it will also be streamed to remote participants).
Professors Mircea Dumitru and Ilie Pârvu (University of Bucharest, Romanian Academy), Constantin Stoenescu, Sorin Costreie, Gheorghe Ştefanov (all at the University of Bucharest), James Cargile (University of Virginia), Mark Sainsbury (University of Texas at Austin), Angela Mendelovici (Western University), Gregory Lavers (Concordia University), and Andrei Moldovan (University of Salamanca), have already kindly agreed to give talks in the conference.
Call for abstract submission
If you would like to give a talk in the conference, please send, by August 15, 2022, midnight local time for Bucharest, Romania, a message to [email protected], bearing the title "abstract submission".
The submitted abstract should be included as a .pdf or .docx attachment to your message, and should be less than 300 words.Your personal data (name, affiliation, email, preference for online or face-to-face presentation) should be included in the body of the message. Please keep the attached file's metadata, title and abstract anonymous in order to ensure blind review.
For any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. We will be checking this inbox weekly. We expect to be able to announce the conference programme in the first week of September.
In the aftermath of the conference, we would enjoy jointly exploring the possibility of publishing its proceedings. More details will be forthcoming at the time.
