Details

The Philosophy of Animal Minds and Behavior Association (PAMBA) was conceived as a means to promote and support the work of philosophers and scientists interested in philosophical questions relating to the diversity of minds we find across species. In April 26-28, 2023 it will hold its inaugural meeting in Madrid (Spain), hosted by the Department of Logic, History, and Philosophy of Science of UNED.

We have reserved several slots for contributed talks. We invite proposals on any topics in the field of philosophy of animal minds. Abstracts must be fully anonymized, no longer than 1000 words and submitted by January 15 to [email protected].

A number of travel bursaries are available and will be awarded on a competitive basis to contributors who need them. If this is your case, please specify it upon submission.

If you wish to attend the meeting but won’t be giving a talk, please register by sending an email to [email protected]. Attendance is free but registration is mandatory (deadline: March 1 2023).

Scholars who wish to submit an abstract to the CFP may also wish to consider submitting a full paper for consideration for the PAMBA Essay Prize. Details on that can be found here: https://www.the-pamba.com/prize
