“Kierkegaard and the Present Age,” a conference hosted by Brigham Young University, will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Kierkegaard’s birth by examining Kierkegaard’s significance for our current moment. This interdisciplinary conference will focus on the appropriation of Kierkegaard’s writings and his relevance for contemporary thought across disciplines today. Papers addressing the importance of Kierkegaard’s thought for disciplines such as philosophy, aesthetics, religious studies, women’s studies, history, the natural sciences and the social sciences are welcome. Papers may therefore consider the significance of Kierkegaard’s thought for a wide variety of contemporary issues. Discussion of the new edition of Søren Kierkegaards Skrifter for current Kierkegaard scholarship as well as the seriesKierkegaard Research: Sources, Reception and Resources is also welcome.

The conference languages will be both Danish and English. Proposals of no more than 400 words should be sent to [email protected] by July 15, 2013. Applicants will receive a decision in August.
