We welcome abstracts for the The Mainz Seminar in Early Modern Philosophy / Mainzer Seminar zur Philosophie der Neuzeit. The seminar aims at bringing together advanced students and scholars working in early modern philosophy (roughly from Bacon to Kant). Contributions on pre-Kantian philosophy is especially encouraged, but there are no other preferences as to subject matters.

Papers can be read in English or German. Please send abstracts of around 500 words to Falk Wunderlich ([email protected]). DEADLINE: 31 August 2013.

Part of the event is a symposium on Udo Thiel’s book „The Early Modern Subject“ (Oxford 2011) with contributions by Christian Barth (HU Berlin), Martin Lenz (Groningen), Ursula Renz (Klagenfurt) and Falk Wunderlich (Mainz).
