CFP: Fredric M. Jablin Doctoral Dissertation Award

The Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the University of Richmond invites submissions for the 2023 Fredric M. Jablin Doctoral Dissertation Award. Submissions can be on any topic and from any discipline, as long as they demonstrate substantial insights and implications for the study of leadership. 

This competition is open to any individual who successfully defended their doctoral dissertation within the last two years, including the 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.

Candidates for this award should complete the online application, which is available at http://jepson.richmond.edu/about/jablin-dissertation-award/submissions.html. Applications are due on or before June 15

Candidates must also email the following 4 items:

1)     a letter of interest

2)     a three- to five-page abstract of a substantive dissertation chapter (specifically, the chapter that best represents the author’s dissertation)

3)     a brief biography 

4)     verification of when they received their Ph.D. (e.g., a transcript or letter from the dissertation advisor will suffice).

Please send each item as a separate PDF file attachment to [email protected]. Please DO NOT send the dissertation. The award committee will contact the finalists by the end of June to request a full dissertation chapter.
