We are pleased to announce the second Neuchâtel Undergraduate Philosophy Conference. The conference will take place in person over the course of two days. This event offers undergraduate students working in all areas of philosophy the chance to present their work and gain feedback in a welcoming and beautiful environment on the banks of Lake Neuchâtel. We will also enjoy the presence of two expert philosophers as keynote speakers, which are Dr. Prof. Anne Meylan from University of Zurich and Dr. Prof. Maria Alvarez from King’s College London. The Undergraduate Conference will take place on the 14. and 15. of September 2023.

Applications

Please send abstracts of 500 words in any area of analytic philosophy prepared for anonymous review to [email protected] by Sunday 20th August (midnight CET), with the header ‘SUBMISSION’. Please also include a separate cover note attached to, or in the body of, the same email containing:

·              First and last name.

·              Academic affiliation.

·              Academic status (Only undergraduate students, i.e., bachelor’s students, may take part in the conference).

·              Subject area (e.g., « Metaphysics », « Social Ontology », « Philosophy of Action », etc...).

·              Paper title.

All speakers will receive a contribution to their travel and accommodation expenses of up to 50 CHF.

All talks should be in English; however, abstracts are accepted in French, English, Italian, and German. Exceptionally, the talk itself can also be presented in one of these languages, if the author feels unable to present in English.

The conference is organized by the philosophy students’ association of the University of Neuchâtel, the Phink!, and the University of Neuchâtel's Institute of Philosophy.
