2nd CALL FOR PAPERS
We are in the process of finalizing our conference program but have reopened the submission process to fill one available presentation time slot.
We welcome submissions by graduate students in any area of philosophy relating to the conference themes. Sample topics of interest include:
- What is it to be an autonomous agent?
- Does identity persist?
- Is authenticity a requirement of moral or legal responsibility?
- What makes character traits or decision-making authentic?
- Is autonomy a criterion for political status? A barrier to paternalism?
- Do we value authenticity? If so, why?
- Is there a distinctly feminist approach to these concepts?
- What importance is attributed to these concepts historically?
The conference will take a format similar to that of the APA/CPA: 20-25 minute presentation, followed by the presentation of comments by a UofC graduate student and a discussion period.
Please send the following to [email protected] in .doc(x) or .pdf format:
- A cover page containing (a) the author's name, (b) institutional affiliation, (c) contact information, (d) the title of the paper, (e) a word count, and (f) abstract.
- The paper itself (max 3,000 words) prepared for blind review - no information identifying the author or the author's institutional affiliation.
