The phlox research group and the Emmy Noether Group Relevance are delighted to announce that the 2024 Hamburg/Vienna Summer School will be taught by Ted Sider (Rutgers). This year's topic will be *Fundamentality in Metaphysics and Philosophy of Science*.

*Description*

The course will explore connections between metaphysical issues about fundamentality, and the philosophy of physics. We'll begin with a survey of the metaphysical issues, concentrating on David Lewis’s theory of natural properties. Then we'll discuss some of the following topics: laws of nature, the structure of space, symmetries, structural realism, and the role of mathematics in physical theories.
