The Pacific Division of the Society for Women in Philosophy (PSWIP) is pleased to invite proposals for presentations and roundtable sessions in any area of philosophy for a one-day conference at Mount St. Mary's University in Downtown Los Angeles (Doheny campus).

We are excited to announce this year's keynote speaker: Dr. Talia Bettcher (Cal State LA).

Presentations will be approximately 20 minutes in length and roundtables will include 4-6 speakers. each offering 'lightning talks' of 5mins. each that speak to a common topic or question. 

Presentations and roundtables that consider issues related to women or the status of women in philosophy are particularly welcome.

Those wishing to participate should send abstracts of no more than 500 words prepared for anonymous review. 

Roundtable proposals should include a 500 word abstract describing the topic of the roundtable and issues it will touch on, as well as tentative titles for the 'lightning talks.'

Submit proposals to [email protected] by the deadline of March 11, 2024.

The conference will take place on April 27, 2024.
