Where is enactivism headed? What are some of the main problems and key issues researchers will need to take into account in order to maintain (or expand) its status as a revolutionary view of mind and cognition?

In order to tackle these questions, the Brazilian research group CLEA (Cognition, Language, Enactivism and Affectivity) is holding a series of online debates called “The Future of Enactivism”, bringing fresh and critical perspectives to this research program. Each session will consist in a main presenter and a critical commentator. Members of the audience will also be able to ask questions and participate in the debate.

The first event of the series is called “Enactivism: Utopian and Scientific” and will feature Russell Meyer (Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Philosophy) as the main presenter and Guilherme Sanches de Oliveira (TU Berlin) as critical commentator. It will be held online on Thursday, April 10th, at 8:30 AM Brasilia time (GMT-3). We invite everyone to participate by registering beforehand at cleafilosofia[at]gmail.com in order to receive the link.
