We are pleased to announce the inaugural meeting of the Maryland Philosophy Conference

(MPC), to be hosted by the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Towson

University, Towson MD. This one-day conference will take place on Friday October 18, 2024,

and aims to provide a welcoming venue for philosophers to present their work, and to engage

with other scholars. Faculty (full-time or part-time) as well as graduate students and

independent scholars are invited to participate. This event is free and open to the public. Lunch

will be provided, and the afternoon will include a reception for all attendees.

Conference participants will have a total of 25 minutes to present their work, and 10 minutes

for questions. Abstracts on any philosophical topic are welcome; sessions will be organized

thematically. When preparing abstracts, please remove any identifying information.

EST on June 15, 2024. Participants will be notified by August 1, 2024. We ask that all attendees

register for the conference no later than September 1, 2024.
