The Valencia Philosophy Lab organizes a Summer School on Mental Representation and Consciousness, which will take place at the University of Valencia on June 16-20, 2025.
The Summer School is addressed to PhD students, post-docs, and early-career researchers. It will cover four sub-topics:
(1) mental representation;
(2) conceptual, linguistic, and de se representation;
(3) representation and consciousness;
(4) representation and affect.

Structure:
Monday (16/6), Tuesday (17/6), Thursday (19/6), and Friday (20/6): two faculty presentations on one sub-topic in the morning; presentations by participants plus group discussion in the afternoon.
Wednesday (18/6): professional experience presentations by faculty speakers in the morning (on publishing, jobs, and job applications); afternoon free.

Fees and bursaries:
Participation in the Summer School is free. We might be able to offer accommodation and an offset for travel expenses to participants who do not have any research funds. If you are interested in this, please get in touch with us.
