Duke Political Science invites submissions from early career researchers and later-year (ABD) graduate students for an upcoming Frontiers Workshop in Democratic Theory at Duke University on May 15-16, 2025

Frontiers Workshops bring together small groups of scholars whose research is situated at the cutting edge of the field.

This workshop will focus on core questions in democratic theory. We particularly encourage submissions that contribute to political philosophy by attending to empirical evidence and/or methods. The workshop already has confirmed participation from leading scholars in democratic theory.

Participants will have the opportunity to present their work to a community of scholars who are at the forefront of the field, as well as receive in-depth feedback from a dedicated discussant. Participants will have the costs of their attendance covered, including travel, lodging, and meals during the workshop.

Please send your CV, together with a completed paper or abstract of up to 1500 words to [email protected].

The deadline for submission is Monday, February 10, 2025.
