CFP: Can Science Provide Knowledge of Reality?

We invite submissions of abstracts from young researchers (PhD and Postdoctoral level) interested in engaging in interdisciplinary discussions on the epistemology of science from a philosophical, historical and scientific perspective. Preference will be given to submissions on topics in the following list: 

• Causality
• Scientific change vs. progress
• Knowledge
• Models and idealizations
• Epistemic and non-epistemic values/Pure vs. applied sciences

Submissions should include:

1. a separate title page with author’s details: name, affiliation, areas of expertise and level of study (PhD or Postdoc, including year in which PhD title was obtained)
2. an abstract (max 500 words)
3. a separate list of references

The best presentations will be selected as contributions to the workshop proceedings.
