CALL FOR PAPERS
Ludwig Wittgenstein—one of the twentieth century’s most influential philosophers—has left a profound mark on contemporary philosophical inquiry worldwide. His insights into meaning, certainty, the philosophy of mathematics, the philosophy of mind, and the philosophy of artificial intelligence continue to shape current debates. To explore the ongoing development and impact of Wittgenstein’s thought, the Seventh International Wittgenstein Symposium will convene in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, in November 2025. This Symposium is jointly organized by the Chinese Wittgenstein Society, the International Research Center for Wittgenstein Studies of Shanxi University, the Editorial Board of Studies in Philosophy of Science and Technology, hosted by the School of Philosophy of Zhejiang University, and co-organized by the Editorial Board of Analytic Philosophy in China, will be held in the city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang, China in November 2025. The symposium matters are hereby notified as follows:
I. Theme: Wittgenstein: Meaning and Certainty
II. Date: November 8-9, 2025
III. Venue: School of Philosophy, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou

2. Wittgenstein's On Certainty
3.Wittgenstein and the Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, the Philosophy of Mathematics, the Philosophy of Psychology, etc.
4.Other philosophical topics related to Wittgenstein’s Philosophy.

VIII. Requirements for papers:
1. Papers must be original and unpublished. The official languages of the conference are Chinese and English. The attending paper only requires the submission of the abstract in both Chinese and English, without the need to submit the full paper. Abstract word count requirement: Chinese not less than 1000 words, English not less than 500 words.
2. The conference organization committee will send out the formal invitation letters after October 1st, 2025 if the submitted paper is accepted.
3. There will be student sessions if student papers are accepted by the committee.
4. After expert review, excellent papers will be recommended to the Studies in Philosophy of Science and Technology, the Analytic Philosophy in China for publication.
IX. Fees:
No registration fee is required for this conference. The organizers will provide food and beverage during the conference days. Except for invited scholars, other attendees are responsible for their own round-trip transportation and accommodation expenses.
