CFP: Pacific APA - Democracy at the Crossroads: Concerned Philosophers for Peace

The Concerned Philosophers for Peace (CPP) are hosting a group session at the APA Pacific in 2026 on "Democracy at the Crossroads."  The session as well as the entire conference is hosted wholly online.  The session concerns political philosophy on what the most legitimate form of government is, such as between deliberative democracy, a Confucian meritocracy that assesses the merit of leaders, an epistocracy that assesses the knowledge of voters, or other possible forms of government.  Furthermore, we accept abstracts on what form of government can best address particular political or moral issues, such as just war theory, racism, distributive justice, and the environment.  750 max word and blinded abstracts need to be submitted by the end of August 31, 2025 Pacific Time to [email protected].
