The Society for Philosophy of Religion is pleased to invite submissions for the 2026 meeting of the Society for the Philosophy of Religion to be held in San Antonio, Texas, from March 26–28, 2026, at the historic Menger Hotel.

The deadline for submissions is October 1, 2025.

We are especially delighted to announce that Dean Zimmerman (Rutgers University) will deliver the keynote address. In addition, Imran Aijaz (University of Michigan–Dearborn) will present on a special panel titled “The Place of Philosophy in Islamic Faith: Prospects and Problems.”

Submission Guidelines

  • Papers should be no more than 5,000 words and prepared for blind review.
  • Please submit your paper by email to [email protected].
  • Accepted papers should be presented substantially as submitted.
  • If you wish to propose a panel discussion, please send a proposal outlining the topic and including the names and affiliations of confirmed participants.

We welcome papers in philosophy of religion from a plurality of perspectives and traditions.

New prospective members are encouraged to apply.

Rising Scholar Award

The Society for Philosophy of Religion is pleased to offer the Rising Scholar Award, which will be presented to the best essay authored by a philosopher who earned their Ph.D. within the past five years. The Society reserves the right not to grant the award if no submission meets the criteria for quality and suitability.
