The reception of articles for the next issue (№ 1, 2014) of the scientific online journal "Philosophical Issues in Information Technology and Cyberspace" is open.

This release is planned to publish researches which are devoted to the most complex and urgent philosophical problems of the artificial intelligence, philosophy of mind, computer aspects of semantics. Nowadays these issues are discussed in many scientific areas: applied area as well as fundamental. The interest in computer models of a meaning creation associated not only with global information processes, but also with an attempt to make sense of a new ontological status of  human beings and the human’s cognitive processes specificity.

Is it possible to understand better the nature of the human’s mind by observing the evolution of artificial intelligence system? What is the role of linguistic consciousness procedures in touch with a reality as well as with "the subjective experience of existence"? Is it possible to represent language cognitive processes formally? Individual making of decisions or freedom of choice - what are the similarities and differences? This is just tiny examples of questions that are being offered to authors.

The following areas for the papers are available:

·         Computational theory of mind;

·         The history of CTM counterarguments (Gödel, Dreyfus, Lucas, Penrose and others);

·         The problem of correlation of internalism and externalism in computer models of consciousness;

·         Philosophical problems of semantics in AI theories;

·         Current developments in the human-computer interaction area;

·         Formal pragmatics;

·         Mathematical Platonism;

·         Spontaneity of consciousness and autonomous AI;

·         Emotional aspects of HRI (Human Robot Interaction);

·         Semantic ontology as an object of the language and mathematics philosophy;

·         The Name and «the Object» in programming languages;

·         Conceptual semantics in the natural and artificial systems;

06/02/14 - the deadline of reception;

06/08/14 - the authors are (will be) reported about the results of the selection;

23/06/14 - 07/06/14 - publication release on  http://cyberspace.pglu.ru and databases (RISC, Ulrich's Web, Cyberleninka).
