York University’s Philosophy Graduate Students Association is seeking submissions for our 2026 Philosophy Graduate Conference! The conference will take place May 7th-8th, and we are pleased to announce keynote speakers Jason D’Cruz (University at Albany, SUNY) and Regina Rini (York).

The title of this year's conference is Trust, Distrust, and Technology. We especially welcome submissions that explore how various technologies impact our interpersonal and social relationships of trust and distrust, including but not limited to artificial intelligence, neurotechnology, and social media. We also welcome papers that address more traditional philosophical questions about the nature of trust and distrust, and about the ethics and epistemology of trust. Topics include (but are not limited to): trust in artificial agents; the impact of various technologies on interpersonal, social and political trust; epistemic trust and how it’s affected by various technologies; the nature of trust and/or distrust; the general role of trust in ethics and epistemology.
