CFP: Normativity, Practical Reasoning and Law

‘The Collective Discussions’ is an online workshop created by The Collective: Women in Legal Philosophy. It meets several times a year. The aim is to discuss pre-read papers that overlap key themes in legal, moral and political philosophy. Attendance at the 90-minute sessions is free and open to all.

The theme of the Spring 2027 Discussions series is normativity, practical reasoning and law.  The series will explore ways in which the concepts of normativity and/or practical reason bear on and illuminate vexing fundamental questions in legal philosophy.

Women are cordially invited to submit an anonymized 1,000 word abstract by emailing Barbara Levenbook ([email protected]) with "Collective Discussions Spring 2027" in the subject line of the email. Include your name, affiliation and position in the body of the email.
