CFP: 4th Inquiry Network Workshop

The Inquiry Network is hosting a workshop on inquiry at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, April 2-3, 2027.

This meeting will be held in conjunction with the annual Mid-South Philosophy Conference.

We invite submissions of anonymized abstracts (up to 1,000 words) on any topic related to the philosophy of inquiry. For example, papers might address topics such as:

·      Norms of inquiry.

·      The relationship between inquiry and interrogative attitudes such as curiosity and suspension of judgment.

·      The relationship between inquiry and attention or salience.

·      The semantics and pragmatics of questions.

·      Virtues and vices of inquiry.

·      Inquiry in specific domains, such as scientific inquiry or philosophical inquiry.

·      Historical approaches to inquiry (for example, work on the American Pragmatists, ancient Pyrrhonians, etc.).

·      Ethics of inquiry.
