Kislon.ai presents the high-level architecture of Liriel, a Persistent Cognitive Instance: an AI architecture designed to live with the same people for years. The presentation is followed by an open discussion.

Questions we want to be challenged on:

  • What should a persistent AI say about its own inner life, given deep uncertainty about AI consciousness?
  • How should long-term memory soften without dissolving, and who should be able to see and correct it?
  • What do discretion and a duty of care look like for an AI that hears confidences from several members of one household?
  • Why should the relationship have an exit, designed from the start?

Relevant to philosophy of mind, AI moral status and welfare, and the ethics of human–AI relationships. Speaker: Michelle Martins (psychologist, founder of Kislon.ai). Kislon.ai is an independent research project, not affiliated with a university.

Registration is free: kislon.ai/#session
