Details

The Glasgow Emergence Project is pleased to announce the Emergence and Grounding Conference to be held at the Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience on 25 & 26 May 2015.

The conference papers will explore the connections between the notions of grounding and emergence. The choice of topic is prompted by the great progress that has recently been made in the elucidation and regimentation of the notion of grounding. It can be thought that the concept can be fruitfully applied to the study of emergence, and conversely, that considering putative cases of emergence might help us gain a better understanding of grounding.
