Details

The symposium emerges from a research project with the same title, currently run by philosophers who belong to the University of Valencia but also some who work at universities in the UK. In the meeting, the three general topics of alternatives, belief, and action will be addressed, mostly by means of exploring their connections. A first symposium was organized in 2008 in Valencia under the heading of International Symposium on Belief, Responsibility, and Action.

The symposium will consist of eight sessions, two in the morning and two in the afternoon/evening each day. The structure of each session will be the following: invited lecture (45-50 minutes), comment (10-15 minutes) and general discussion. The whole session is intended to take about 110-115 minutes.

Anyone is welcome to attend the conference.
