Details

The Philosophy and Linguistics departments at Ohio State are delighted to announce the fifth installment of the annual Ohio State Philosophy-Linguistic workshop to be held from March 23-24, 2016, at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. This year’s topic is Modality.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together philosophical and linguistic perspectives on the study of modality, with the hope of achieving a better understanding of this deep and fascinating subject, which raises a number of different issues ranging from epistemology to logic and metaphysics, and from the nature of context-sensitivity to the semantics of quantification.
